Job Overview

We are a Rockwall-based plaintiff personal injury litigation firm hiring an Associate Litigation Attorney to run litigated files in auto, trucking, and premises liability. This is a hands-on litigation seat with real responsibility and real support. Minimum two years experience preferred.

The Work

Manage a docket of 50-60 litigated cases (varies by complexity)
Take/defend depositions, attend mediations, argue hearings
Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, and motions (including motions to compel)
Work cases from suit through resolution: settlement or trial prep
Collaborate directly with partners on case strategy

Support and Infrastructure (this is not a sink-or-swim shop)

5 litigation paralegals supporting attorneys and partners
Established processes for calendaring, filing, discovery, and client communication
Research tools: Westlaw/Lexis (as applicable)

Who Fits Best

2+ years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense litigators strongly encouraged)
Comfortable with deadlines, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
Strong writing and practical judgment
Texas bar in good standing

Compensation

Base salary: $80,000 to $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
Performance bonus (percentage on worked and settled cases)
Origination bonus available for self-generated matters
