Description
Job Title: Legal Counsel (AVP- PRC or HK Qualified)Financial Services/ Securities firm experience preferred.
Description:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and customer agreements. Ensure all contracts align with the company's legal and business interests.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments in the securities industry. Advise and work with colleagues in all departments on potential legal risks and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
- Oversee corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder communications, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Work closely with external legal counsel as needed.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company's operations. Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal support for product development, marketing, and other business initiatives.
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on business initiatives, corporate legal strategies, and other legal matters.
Qualifications:
- Qualified lawyer with 3 PQE either PRC or HK a must, in-house experience is preferred for this role.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in the HK Mainland China or APAC securities industry.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with cross-border transactions and international legal issues.
- Native level written and spoken Mandarin (Simplified Chinese)
