Description
Job DescriptionReporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Handling asset management matters, including but not limited to fund formation as well as post-formation maintenance for a range of asset management products (including SFC authorized funds, ETFs, hedge funds, FoF funds, QDII and RQFII investment related matters etc)
- Handling discretionary management account related matters and negotiation of IMAs
- Providing legal advice and daily support to the asset management business units within CICC
- Providing support to Senior Legal Counsel and handling other assignments designated by Senior Legal Counsel from time to time
Skills and Abilities
- At least three years of post-qualification experience expected, preferably gained from international law firms, asset management firms or investment banks
- Solid legal knowledge and experience in handling asset management related matters
- Good drafting and communication skills
- Strong sense of responsibility, diligence, integrity and professional ethics
- Fluent in written and spoken English & Chinese
- Good team player
Qualifications
- Law degree from a recognized law school
- Qualified in UK, Hong Kong, US, Singapore or other common law jurisdictions
