CLIENT BACKGROUND
A fast-growing financial institution with cross-border operations is seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel to strengthen its legal and compliance framework. The firm is active in asset management and fund operations, with a strong commitment to regulatory integrity and sustainable growth across Greater China.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY
As Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's legal and compliance functions. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic legal support across business units, including contract review, regulatory interpretation, and policy development.
• Managing legal documentation and compliance processes related to fund establishment and ongoing operations, including KYC and AML protocols.
• Acting as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate compliance reporting.
• Designing and enhancing internal compliance systems to proactively identify and mitigate legal and operational risks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Law or a related discipline; legal qualification (e.g., bar admission) is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in legal or compliance roles within asset management sector.
• Solid understanding of both domestic and international fund structures, investment operations, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong bilingual communication skills in Chinese and English, with proven ability to coordinate across teams and jurisdictions.
• High professional integrity, a proactive mindset, and a strong sense of accountability.
