Dewhirst, Dolven & Parker LLC is a regional civil litigation insurance defense law firm with clients in Colorado, Utah, Texas, Arizona, Nebraska and Wyoming. This position is for an attorney with a demonstrated history of handling litigation cases. The successful candidate will be familiar with Texas civil procedure and Texas law. A high level of integrity is a must as well as a willingness to work with a team. This attorney will be required to research legal issues and comply with all legal standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

•           Prepare and participate in legal hearings, depositions, and trial.
•           Prepare briefs.
•           Motion practice and oral argument
•           Prepare and participate in mediation, arbitration and settlement negotiations.
•           Track and bill time.

Qualifications:

•           8+ years in civil litigation
•           Licensed in Texas
•           Insurance defense experience preferred
•           Strong research, writing, analytical and problem-solving skills
•           Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•           Attorneys with licenses in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, or Wyoming a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

          Do you have any bar licenses outside of Texas? Not required if you do not but we would like to know if you can practice in any other states and if you are also open to obtaining a Colorado bar license.

•           Litigation: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

•           Texas Bar License (Required)

Work Location: Initial job being performed remotely until we establish our San Antonio office. The office will be located on the north side of San Antonio.
