Associate Position – Yakima, WA
The newly formed Maxwell Law Group PLLC is looking for an associate who can start employment in Yakima, Washington starting January 1, 2026. The firm will be led by John A. Maxwell Jr. who has 40 years of litigation and trial experience and will be focusing on business and individual representation including business, construction, real estate and asset division work including business divisions, merger and acquisition, estate litigation and asset based family law cases. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience serving clients who are key players in business and agribusiness. Our work spans a wide range of sophisticated transactional matters, providing meaningful client contact from the outset and hands-on mentorship from experienced litigation attorneys.

Our practice is led by a highly skilled and experienced team based in Eastern Washington. We provide strategic business and transactional advice to help clients operate soundly and effectively. When disputes arise, we have the knowledge and litigation experience to guide clients through all aspects of business and property division litigation.

We are looking for:
1-7 years of experience as an attorney. Business, real estate, or transactional work is a bonus, but not required. Trial and Courtroom experience is also a bonus.
Strong academic performance and superior analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. An interest in business and the economics of buying, selling, dividing and financing business assets and the desire to make a difference for the client. 
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation for this position will be determined based on the individual’s qualifications and experience and starting at $125,000.00 per year or more depending on experience. Associates are also eligible for a bonus system based on a percentage of actual collections above a determined threshold. This bonus is not limited by a cap.
