ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY POSITION

McGavin, Boyce, Bardot, Thorsen & Katz, P.C., a civil defense litigation firm in Fairfax, Virginia, seeks a Litigation Associate to join its team. MBBTK is primarily an insurance defense firm representing insured individuals, business entities, and local government associations and municipalities in a wide variety of tort and contract claims, as well as employment matters, in state and federal court throughout Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. MBBTK also represents insurance carriers in coverage disputes and has an active workers’ compensation defense practice.

            This position requires frequent appearances in court, as well as participation in depositions, mediation, and all other aspects of litigation, with mentorship from more senior members of the firm. Strong verbal and written communication ability is required.  

Membership in the Virginia State Bar is mandatory. Additional membership in the Maryland and/or the District of Columbia Bars is preferred. An ideal candidate will have at least two to three years of litigation experience.
