Associate Attorney Position at Canan Law
Canan Law, a prominent and established law firm in St. Augustine, Florida, is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience (including those studying to take the Bar) to join our litigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a prospective attorney getting ready to take the Bar, a newly licensed attorney, or an attorney with some experience who is looking to grow their career in a dynamic and challenging environment. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter with a passion for litigation, strong research and writing skills, and a commitment to providing excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities of Associate Attorney:
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
The caseload will be primarily focused on Family Law litigation. Experience in these areas is a plus but not required. We are committed to providing training and mentorship to the right candidate. This is an in-office position with a family first disposition and consideration given to a healthy work/life balance.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission in good standing to The Florida Bar or studying to take the next Bar exam.
- 0-5 years of legal experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
